Eligibility is subject to insurance approval and driver licence checks for all specified named drivers; by requesting a test drive, all drivers agree to Arnold Clark carrying out the necessary licence checks. Drivers must be aged 21 or over, have held a full valid UK driving licence for a minimum of 12 months, have a maximum of six penalty points, and be free from endorsements other than speeding offences within the last three years. Drivers must not have been disqualified from driving at any time in the last three years.
The primary driver remains responsible for any fines, penalties, or charges incurred during the test drive. The insurance cover includes an excess of £500 and the primary driver is liable to pay this in the event of any damage or claim; should the driver do anything to invalidate the insurance, they may be liable to pay the claim in full.
The vehicle may only be used for personal use on public roads and excludes track use and all forms of hire or reward, including the carriage of passengers for payment (such as taxi services or driving tuition) or the transport of goods for payment (such as courier or delivery services). For the avoidance of doubt, business use other than commuting to work is strictly excluded. Vehicle may only be used within mainland UK.
Vehicle must be collected and returned during Arnold Clark Volkswagen branch business hours. Vehicle must be returned with a minimum level of fuel as agreed with the local Arnold Clark Volkswagen branch on collection. Offer is available to retail customers only.

If you qualify for the Scheme, you can, subject to these terms and conditions, return your ID. Vehicle by notifying Arnold Clark of your decision any time between 80 - 100 days after the date on which you received the ID. Vehicle. Returns outside this period aren’t allowed under the Scheme, though you may have other legal rights in some cases (see section 9 of Volkswagen’s Terms and Conditions).
Arnold Clark may reject the return of the ID. Vehicle if any accessories fitted to the ID. Vehicle were not installed by Arnold Clark or removal has caused damage.
We will refund the amounts set out below minus: (i) any costs for damage not covered by warranty; (ii) repair costs to modifications; (iii) a 3% charge to reflect depreciation in the value of the ID Vehicle; (iv) for finance customers, any applicable deductions set out in the relevant finance agreement, such as excess mileage charges); and (v) for Customers who purchased a promotional Ohme EV charger, and decide to keep the charger, the remaining balance of the RRP not covered by the promotion (see section 4.2 of the Volkswagen Terms and Conditions for further information on deductions).
Amount paid. If you return your ID. Vehicle under the Scheme, you will receive a refund of the total amount you have paid up to the date of the return of the ID. Vehicle.
Part exchange value. Part-exchanged vehicles are sold to the Retailer by you and will not be returned. If you used the value of the part-exchanged vehicle as a deposit towards the payment of your ID. Vehicle and you then choose to return the ID. Vehicle under the Scheme, the Retailer will provide a refund equal to the agreed part-exchange valuation.
